Hi peeps just bought a 1998 manual V70 r awd and it feels completely gutless to my 1997 t5 is this how they are? I understand there heavier but i didn't think it would be gutless. Im going to check the boost with my boost gauge first.

Thanks

Good idea mate, sounds like there's a lack of boost. Possibly stuck waste gate or split recirc.

I have the 1999 v70r awd 265bhp and didn't know that there was a manual V70R AWD, but have to agree that don't feel the same rush as I get in the T-5R, but to give it it's due it is fast, I just think it's the auto smoothing the power out, not the aggressive launch forward of the manual, but I don't think its slow and I probably drive it faster than my T5-R, hope this helps, but they are to completely different beasts

I don't think they made your version in manual.

I have a spare recirc valve from a 1998 v70 r if you need it. Also i had low boost on mine.... the pipe going into the inlet manifold was degraded. Once i replaced all the vac lines i was hitting 16psi again. The with the Forge unos MBC set on MINIMUM im getting 18psi

It's ok thanks I've banked off the recirc and fitted a bov and a manual boost controller running at 12psi.

£7 to replace your vac lines with nice blue/red/orange etc is well worth the money. I bought 3meters worth. I had some left over too
