Had a really annoying loud humming noise for over a week, which was there with the engine running or not. I could tell that it was coming from the front of the car, but finally sussed out today that it was a headlight wiper motor that was continually running. Disconnected it and the noise has gone. The car goes into the bodyshop next week for some TLC and will have both bumpers removed, so I'll have my replacement motor fitted at the same time.
