Hi Gents just a quick question i have now fitted my R.I.P kit and i must say what a difference, i was thinking that now i have more space behind the n/s headlight has anyone moved the cold air intake from the side of the headlight and rerouted it down to the grill next to the fog light on the front bumper as am i right in thinking this would allow more cold in air with less restriction from the bonnet and grill just an idea thoughts more than welcome

I have been thinking about doing something similar for quite a while now, but not got around to doing it yet, but who knows what will happen over the winter ??

i like to keep the pipework as straight as possible so had mine going to the gap between the headlight & radiator

I have a DIY kit that comes out near the bottom using flexible & hard pipe work.

17413

I used 80mm with a 45 degree kink to fit to my sheilded intake, some demon tweeks flexible intake hose that wiggles down & comes out just by the front valence. Some plastic surgery was performed to cut back the plastic grill at the bottom. I used some heat shrinking rubber gasket on the outside of the hose to stop it fraying & about 1 inch deep 80mm pipe cutoff to ensure the integrity of the shape at the bottom end. No risk really of hydrolock as the shield is not 100% airtight.
