Uploading multiple pictures

It is probably me being stupid here but how do i get more than one picture displayed in a post? Whenever i upload more than one picture i just end up with a list of pictures in the post.Can anybody help me out here?

use separate posts for each image OR
upload them to a picture host and use image tags and the URL to the pics

I think it is a vBulletin default thet multiple attachments will form just a list and not show the pictures individually
