If it's a manual, it's 75/90 full synth. Try to flush it if you can.

I use this in my M66 with a Gripper diff: http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-981-fuchs-titan-sintofluid-sae-75w-80-synthetic-manual-transmission-fluid.aspx

I would not recommend Redline Heavyweight Shockproof in an M56 as I suspect it was the reason my last one failed - yellow particles everywhere and damaged synchros.

I think you need 75/80 not 75/90 but I would refer to a handbook if you have one. 97308 is the Volvo standard and Fuchs satisfies that.

I don`t understand you all!!

I bought the pucker fully synth from Volvo at £9 per litre, drained the old oil out measured what came out and put the same amount of new oil back in, job done.

If you flush you stir up thousands of miles of £££££e which does get in the destructive way even in a manual box as it is full of metal particles, hence a magnetic bolt in the box somewhere.

If you use other oils you cannot use an engine oil as it will froth like §§§§§§y as it is not an EP.....oil (Extreme Pressure).

iv had it in there since i did the manual conversion and i done about 20 000 miles since and iv had no problems at all. the box is still quiet and smooth and it doesn't crunch at all.
