Its about 22psi in 3rd at the moment and hits 26 in 5th :) will see how it runs as just got my map that was on it converted to a TT file this weekend so need to test it a little still.

Does anyone think there was a bit of a headwind? My terminal seemed a bit slow at between 95 -97mph, equalled my best time with a 14.4 but with a terminal speed of 96.8 compared to my best of 100.something.

It was slippy out there, as proved by my first run of 15.7, where i just span my wheels off the line lol

My own spreadsheet has you down at 6.3 - 329 ft also doing 79mph at the 660 (1/8th mile). the r^2 value on my sheet is 1 - perfect correlative match.
6.2 seems fair enough averaging out both methods - my uses a "power" curve correlation rather than a polynomial.

yeh that run i did with the best time felt really good of the line. no spin and loads of grip. im going to put 18s on soon so il have loads of grip. i was going over the line in 4th at 5000revs with the higher ratio diff on it.

my 0-60 time is 6.05s according to the graph, chuffed to bit with that! 0-60 distance 320foot. 1/8th speed 76mph. although my real 1/8 was 75.07, so its nearly right.

Its how the graph works, small differences in certain points can change the times by a couple of tenths.

Personnally i wouldn't quote these times as fact though, probably 95% accurate but not 100%.

The problem is that all cars have different acceleration curves. Look at your scooby, its over a second quicker to 60mph than your s70r, but reaches 98mph only 0.9sec quicker. So between 60 and 98pmh your s70r is slightly quicker at those speeds.

Another thing is that its the 330ft that has more of a bearing on the 0-60 time as most cars won't be going that quick after just 60ft and most 2wd cars, especially your fwd, as it was still struggling for grip way after 60ft.

Possible proof ^^^^^ that the 60ft time doesn't always mean a fast 0-60 time, dean seems to be getting 2.3s for the 60ft and i'm getting 2.2s yet he is getting a lot better 0-60 time, which is what you'd expect as his car is a lot quicker than mine.

The angle of the graph in the plotted distance time graph is the speed. This obviously is not constant & the angle at any given point will be changing.
The variation between the measure 1/8th speed and that coming out of the graph will be down to how well the line fits the points (its correlation).

The only way to make it more accurate is to plot a more accurate line - namely more points in between - but the slips do not give that - so it will be a fairly accurate estimate.

You can try plotting the line yourself & see if you can get a close tangent line (88ft/sec). where the angle of the 60mph line & the plotted line are the same - is the point where 60mph is acheived. You can try to get the trend line in Excel to fit using different algorithms - polynomials & to-the-power plots. Closer r^2 is to 1 - better the line fits.

Need to use a different method - plot a graph using the points you do have.

EDIT - it is difficult to prove the method because York only gives 3 points to the 1/8th mile; 0, 60 & 660. Gradient in the line is going to be difficult to get right without a 330 irrespective of what formula you use.
