The meets usually kick off around 1400 with a few pics being taken and any tinkering which needs doing (can be anything from changing air filters to fitting mbc's etc) then it's off inside 'The Vine' for the legendary 'Square Burger'

Great meets, great people and some great laughs, well recommended. :B_thumb:

The type R gauge is ok (I have one) but I wouldn't bother with the valve. Go for a ball-spring gated valve. I got mine for 14 quid and it does the job. the more you pay, the better the quality and less likely to have boost spikes. (I had spikes).

You can get away with 4mm all round.

It's not that it spikes, it's a bleed valve which vents to atmosphere and only slows the reaction of the wastegate. A ball-spring valve will hold, then release at the preset pressure, opening the wastegate.

I'll be down as an official newbie (be nice...). Car seems all ok after a week of running, the service light is on, but it had a service in Feb...hmm. Apart from that, the usual rattle from the boot (the lid I think) and a funny mechanical groaning sound when it's cold, seems to go away when clutch is down/in neutral, only lasts a minute or two then fine.

Still, at least it works...:D
