Heating,,, hot then cold etc etc

Ok,

put the heating on tonight, first time since had the V70 55 plate..

ok hot air for 3 seconds,,,then cold air for 3 secs and so on!!

Any ideas ???

Settings full on both sides to hot and all vents do this !

Same happens if I press air con when heat is full on....

however if I use just cold settings... fine cold air only.

Heater matrix or a leaky radiator. It happened to the van at work, there are air pockets in the radiator system and when they come around the heater goes cold. Check for a wet footwell, if so then your heater matrix is knackered...........

Failing that you may have a faulty thermostat.

Ok, could be a faulty sensor or thermostat then. Maybe hook up the OBD2 reader although I'm not sure it covers heater problems, worth a go though.
