I have a 1996 850 T5 CD and have a leeaking radiator. The leak seems to be coming from the centre radiator as there seems to be three together, one i'm assuming is the oil cooler though i have been told that only auto's have this but mine is a manual. The leak also seems to be coming from the sides where the sides clamp onto the radiator itself. I have already had this replaced just over a year ago after hitting the underneath of the radiator on a speed ramp. Is this a common fault or am i just unlucky???????? CAN ANYBODY PLEASE SHED ANY LIGHT ON MY PROBLEM AS I'VE BEEN TO A VOLVO SPECIALIST BUT JUST FILLED ME WITH CRAP. :troutslap :troutslap :troutslap :troutslap

The three rads together as you put it are as follows

First looking from front of car Air con then intercooler for turbo and slapped on the back nearest the engine and with the fan attatched is the normal cooling system radiator so if the middle ones leaking fluid as you say then somats not quite right as that one just cools hot air from the turbo

Cheers

Check to see if it is just a hose leak, Start her up and get her hot and look for any steam not sure why it should leak unless it has been bashed or tampered with.

One of the radiators has what seems to be hydraulic pipes conected to the engine. Can you tell me what these are? And also do you have any idea what could be the problem with the centre radiator leaking water????

The leek seems to be coming fron the sides of the radiator where the sides seem to clamp to the main cooling element. I did hit the bottom a high kerb in a supermarket carpark while parking so this could be the cause.
