Try a hairdryer to melt the backing, grow your finger nails too, try meths or wd40 etc too, it's not much fun!

They are stuck on with double sided tape sort of stuff, just use a stanley blade on its own and run it down the back then some sort of alcahol to clean off the residue do not use thinners as it will affect base coat cellulose, will be ok on your car if it is two pack.

On anything before the S60 and V70 phase 2 - changing the grill is easy peasy - 8 or so sliding plastic clips. For the the 2 mentioned I believe it is a bit more of a challenge?

on my previous t5 - I added a slash and an R badge....

The mesh grill looks fine as long as you add something to it and don't leave it plain, i have a 99 onwards S40 slash and badge on mine, and colour coded the outer edge so the grille isn't so in your face.

I just pulled the badges off mine and rubbed the paintwork down with wd40.
