850 remote locking stopped working

the remote locking has stopped working on my t5 estate...............i've tried new batteries in remote but still no joy................central locking still works with key but no alarm................any ideas anyone?...............is there a relay or control box somewhere?..........any help much appreciated as always

thanks martin...................remote now activates alarm and unlocks car but still have to lock with key...................at least i have my alarm working again..............you are as always a star...............many thanks

Well, it's a start, Mayby somethings up and the side of one of the solenoids that locks the car has failed, causing alarm etc. to play - up?
I wouldn't know where to start looking tbh. On P2s, spraying WD40 in the lock barrel can help.
