Hey guys i thought i would post a print off for my S60 D5, I bought the car on the understanding it was completely standard. This graph shows its not but still a little stumped with what remap it is it's not Rica, and Don from Kalmar Union has never heard of the Reg and no reciepts no tuning box.

Figures, 223.3 max BHP
Torque 360 ft lb

Very nice indeed. No doubt that shifts some too.

How do you find the power delivery? The HP seems nice a progressive but the torque looks like you get rear ended with a wrecking ball when it kicks in properly at around 1950rmp!

something dont sound right cos they dont map up to 223bhp more like 195-205, what was the power at the wheels?

Having been in it, it goes like a T5 but with only 5000rpm to play with. it goes very well indeed.
Perhaps its one of those sporttek maps that get installed without a rr session (ive been offered one recenty for 200 quid.

I thought that was about what the later 185bhp went to. Not up on my tractor stuff though lol

I've never heard that, but realisticly WHP will probably be about 190-200 as that is rated at the flywheel

Hmmm, good map then. Do you have to use v-power diesel, or similar, on mapped diesels?

You would be hard pushed to get a map with an extra 60bhp,, on the dyno its easy to muck up the flywheel power figure

caseyt5
Tuesday 21st August 2012, 22:24
I don't always use it but it does make a noticable difference it seems to feel smoother with V power after a few tanks of it.

Blackdogs mapped phase 3 d5 is a polestar mapped car but has 225bhp, that goes like stink on the road,

I agree there but T5's with the 304 rica make around 280 ish which is a similar percentage. But it's economical will stay with most performance petrols in a straight line and always puts a smile on my face when i get to put my foot down its not bad for £1000.

I'm not saying it's not possible but my 163 with RICA sport map, 1 silencer removed, BP Ultimate and 50/50 water/methanol injection made from memory 208bhp.

Very surprised your clutch doesn't slip or DMF hit the end of its spring tolerance with that level of torque increase, mine did!

Hey, i had the clutch replaced on it about 3000 miles ago as when i bought it the clutch slipped really bad under acceleration, but the exhaust system on it is straight through from the turbo with only a rear silencer but it's really quiet until you put your foot down. Did you get a mpg increase from yours?

Here`s a oil burner pushing out 259.4 BHP

Specification of the car is:
Stock engine, internals, injectors, turbo
Stock intercooler (!)
ITG panel filter with stock intake system
Shark Performance 3" downpipe with DPF delete
Milltek cat back exhaust

850 t5's make nowhere near 280 bhp just from a map between 245-270, 16t'd motors make more

Do you know of any more accurate rolling roads? And are we talking Whp or Flywheel?

M-R-P
Wednesday 22nd August 2012, 17:48
I doubt those figures are that far out Casey, it pulls like a good T5 but runs out of puff earlier due to the fact it's an oil burner.
If it could hit 7000 rpm with the same pull as it hits 5k, it'll pull away from a T5 nicely.

caseyt5
Wednesday 22nd August 2012, 17:51
Give or take probably around 5bhp it could be either side, but then again no rolling road is accurate :) i'm happy with it :)

Mine's no slug Frankie:) and which of yours is faster? the one with the blown engine, or the one with the "tapety" engine lol;)
Ive been in more than 1 T5 mate and I maintain that although it runs out if puff quicker, Caseys dirty derv is a quick car.

Don't worry about it and if you do any more mods then its best to stick to the same dyno as then its keeping things consistant.

:D

Top end or from standing?

I recon His derv would take off pretty fast too if it had the right sized wheels/tyres (or even 2 the same would probably help lol)

Scoobies are usually good at the 1/4mile, great off the line and that counts for a lot on the strip.

Blackdog managed something like a 16.3@93mph in his d5, heavier than yours but with more torque. So thats your target, just make sure you beat p fandangos 17.3 lol

Like i said, its all in the start, because they that quick once on a roll ;-)

I think my 540 would beat a standard wrx from a roll at 50mph and at 100mph+............no problem lol

My old t4 gave a few scooby drivers some shocks, on a roll it destroyed my mates old impreza lol (it was one of the old 90s estate with 208bhp[?])

my first one was a lightweight short ratio'djdm wrx with 260bhp, that was like a missile from a standstill
