Your views. Closed turbo system i.e. no dump valve

I have heard about people running closed system with no dump valve and letting the turbo vent through the wastegate and turbo has anybody ever done this

Ive been looking into doing this, is it as bad for the turbo as some claim?? ive read it can destroy turbos in as little as a week, could that well be the case??

ive never actually seen any evidence of a "closed system" breaking anything,i run mine like it and ive had no problems yet!!!

TD04 range dont run enough boost to cause "meltdown"

the volvo turbos don't generate enough boost for it to be a problem. I use a garrett GT28 and supercharger without a dump valve.
