Traction light

Gave the car a bit of stick this afternoon and noticed that the traction control light flickered on very briefly while I was accelerating hard in 2nd gear.
Is this normal?

Havent got traction control on my T5 but on the golf we had before it used to flicker on and off while it was working so could well be normal.Im sure somebody on here will be able to help though.

That's what I thought. Flickered on momentarily as I was pushing hard in 2nd gear. Could feel the front wheels scrabbling for grip.
Must be life in the old dog yet!

My T4 does it when I give her a bit of stick.
flickers never stays on, sounds like it's working perfectly
