The V70R has started a cam knock when it gets hot.

Its a bit tappety when cold but grows to definate knock when hot.

Hydraulic lifter problem?

Anyone know of a cleaner or the like I can add that may help?

Thoughts welcomed

Its a 99 phase I, phase II R.

Did the tapping coincide with the oil change or has it been doing it prior to the change ?

It may be the common problem of the "O"rings distorted where the sumps join together to get oil pressure up the top of the engine. The ring distorts and lets air get sucked in thus lowering the oil pressure.

That sounds expensive to fix. Engine out job?
