The car is minging on the outside it's just being in the garage makes it look shinny lol.no probs with the front arches at all mate .and I've got all the s90 handles and bumpers and side skirts so should look tasty when she is finished with the 140 bhp she has.

They are 7.5in wide with 225/40/18s Avon zv5s brand new all round .

I know very well that they are very good tyres but that 139 bhp has to go somewhere and I think it may be lost a bit through those rear wheels - 445s may be more suitable ;)

Especially since I heard them scream with pain from the 1st stage of boost - with the OLD setup :yikes:

You're gonna need sponsorship from Avon to go to the shop and back lol

Think thats the time he is aiming for at the strip. It will be tough without some proper drag slicks. My car has less than 140hp and is very traction limited with Yoko A048's at 1 bar boost.

hi carl, the rear discs you want are the 850 5 stud.
outer dia 295mm , handbrake drum diameter 177mm ish.

940 original disc: 280mm outer dia , handbrake drum 160mm dia. thickness of disc 9.67 mm same as 850 disc.

s60 rear disc: unsuitable because of large inner flange on drum that sticks out like i thought , and outer dia only 290mm.

regards, jamie

If you've got 18's on you can go 336mm discs with V70r calipers or even 345mm discs with Brembos off an Evo 8.

Nice, very nice and shiny. What's the idea - better airflow?

My problem will be the back because I can only find single discs with internal handbrake .but I will sort it with my new axle I have .but that is a job for the future I will get the car on the road first

How about a hydraulic handbrake, then you won't be as limited on what rear disc's you can use as you wouldn't then need the internal handbrake

they will pass on mot, but you have to keep the orginal cables attached at some point to the caliper, thats what the road rally boys do to be able to get mot pass, cable must move but won,t have to actually operate anything as the hydraulic system will take care of that

Yes that's true but you need the the discs to still hold the handbrake if I use the front s60 discs they don't have that built in mate.already looked into it .

Can't remember what calipers we used to use when we where converting to rear discs, it was something that had a hanbrake mech buily into the caliper..

Looking good Smithy...

Thanks mate you can by handbrake calipers separate from the main brake calipers .but would be easier to get some rear discs
