Hi Guys,

I have read in a few places that the t5 auto ecu will work in a t5 manual, i am about to purchase this one to chip it:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOLVO-850-T5-V70-C70-AUTO-GEARBOX-ECU-5-3-AISIN-AW-CO-LTD-P-3545864-/251113363957?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a7785d9f5

Can anyone tell me if it wont work? Or will cause any problems. I have a 1997 Volvo 850 T5 Manual

Thanks in advance,

Will,

Just want to add, thanks to this very welcoming community. I look forward to sharing what i have learned to new'comers when im driving a 350BHP monster

No, that won't work. That ebay item is a transmission ECU, not an engine ECU.

My bad if that's the case, '97 was changeover year from 850 to V70 :B_thumb:

Thanks Guys, that could have been a big mistake!

In that case it looks like there's no ECU's for sale on ebay...

Well if anybody is selling a tuned or standard ECU, think of your old buddy WillT5

Thanks for the help,

Will,
