Looking for some advice on upgrading my exhaust and downpipe / cat - my cat needs to be replaced so I figure it might be the right opportunity to put on something a little more free flowing.

Question is what are my optione and what do I choose?

Qu 1 - if I fit a bigger diameter downpipe and catback, do I need to re-tune the car? I understand it will possibly provide a little increase in performance or power delivery in the mid / upper rev range, but is there a down side to the way the car runs? Will it just be a simple bolt on and that's it, or will it have knock on affects that will bring additional cost?

NB - I read an Entry in one forum which suggested that if you were to fit a 3" BSR downpipe and cat back you have to have theBSR re-map to retune the engine. Is this right?

Qu 2 - what are the options?

Could I fit the downpipe and exhaust from a V70R?

Do I bite the bullet and splash out on a full Ferrita system? Do Ijust get a aftermarket replacement3 way at and downpipe and spend on the at back system?

Help me out guys? I need your wisdom soI don't get this wrong!

No need for remap. Theres cheaper and better than ferreta out there.
