I was looking at the 440 turbo and was wondering would a T5 lump go in and if so would it be difficult?

I think it would be kind of cool and if possible I would probly look into it.

Thanks!

I think a better idea would be t4 engine and you could put one in the back too and run twin engine .t4 is very good engine for conversions and is strong too

Any things possible! im building a rear engined MR2 2ltr turbo fiberglass mini so id say yeh of coarse! id stay away from twin engine, iv never really seen the point as it'd be heavy and to get them to run together would be difficult. better one engine in the back with crazy horse power.

Was there any feedback on how the car performed? i think it would be quite mental!

yes it is possible and yes it has been done hell of a lot of work tho. I saw this car back in 1999 up at a rolling road near York unfortunately he has now retired and closed the business. It was bloody mental, fully forged engine stand alone ECU produced approx 450bhp!!!!!!!

Wow! i would be happy just to have the standard T5 power with a possible remap in a 440 i love the 5 cylinder engines but if it was to much work then i will consider the T4 conversion.

i just think it would be a bit different than the norm and interesting.

As said anything is possible. there is a guy round here that works for a tuning company that has a t5 engine in a mk3 golf which of similar size if not smaller. so my only input is do it!
