As we get asked very regularly to help customers double check to order the correct size for their car, I thought it would be useful to post this information for everybody.

To identify the correct size firstly you need to find the chassis product code from the VIN plate on your car.
There are 2 styles of vin plate; a silver metal plate version fitted on cars up to 2003 and a black sticker version on cars from 2003 onwards.

On the up to 2003 silver plate type it is normally found on the passenger side inner wing (of RHD cars) - on pre 2000 models this means next to the battery. The code you are looking for is an 8 digit code of random letters and numbers in the bottom right corner of the plate and the code digit you need to use is in the 3rd position of the code.

The 2003 onwards black sticker type is positioned mostly on the bulkhead behind the engine and the code required is a 12 digit code , shown at the bottom left corner of the sticker and it is the 5th postion digit which you need to use.

On the 850, S/V/C70 series cars, Volvo did install a 20mm bar marked 1 or X that the current selection of bushes are not suitable for , but we are pressing the supplier to try to add a bush to cover these.

** The 25mm size bush is also suitable to replace worn out IPD 25mm anti roll bars for cars within the above models range.

We really hope you all find this info useful, and feel free to contact us directly if you are unsure.

Regards, PFV
