Fitted the new intercooler

Its been laying around the garage for over a year now so finally got round to getting it fitted i had a couple of hrs spare this morningn so heres what i managed to do.

Just ordered the res tof the silicone hoses and will be fitting the new manifold with 3" throttle body tomorrow then finally to sort the pipe work out as it needs trimming

It's the ths intercooler they seem good intercoolers if you can get hold of one you just have to alter the pipe work at the bottom as the out let is at the side of it

Some more done new pcv system and the air con compressor removed got to say the old pcv box was emply and no obstructions just goes to show regulary changing the oil and filters help the breather system function correctly as thats been on since new

How I connected up the lower outlet

Yeah mynes exactly same but my 135 degree bend just comes straight off the cooler and doesnt need the straight piece in there not a direct fit are they but deffinatly not hard to over come.
Just waiting on the new hose for the turbo to new pipe work and got a good deal on a pack of 10 t-bolt clamps so they shouldnt be going any where

yeah i suppose its how every the pipe work is made myne is one piece and fits brilliant with just the bend one but just needs to be shortend abit as its too long at the mo

Also you have to thread the poly bush bolt on the top mount the other way round then you should be able to get the angle to fit the top.

Yeah the fit at the bottom os ace but if you notice your bottom pipe is different to myne and yeah noticed the bolt bit still need a longer hose for where it joins to turbo as the down bit isn't long enough but he did a ace job to say he made it with no car there

On mine he tried to do the bottom section to be a straight fit but was slightly off again because he only had the mock-ups to work off but with yours thought it would be better to go for the 135 bend and not straight as easier to fit lol you got any kink in the bend??

Nope no kink what so ever it flows lovley I did have to shorten the pipe as I was too long but after taking 2" off the fit is perfect for the 135 bend any way what you take me for of course there isn't no kinks there might have been after 20 cans tho lol carnt wait to take it out round the back of myne but waiting on the clamps and ordered a new pipe for the icv as the old one wouldnt fit on after that ill be smiling

i think they were quite expensive new but carnt rememebr off the top of my head deffinatly well made, hope fully it will make a nice difference but wil have to wait a while untill the cars back on the road

Im quite happy paul how its turned out and with the 1 piece pipe work its brilliant

Today i finished removing the rest of the air con and then body shiltzed the under of the car as it was getting due after that i got the car off the ramp and moved it round the back, the throttle feels very switched on compared to how it was before and deffinatly more livelier but will have to wait a while now before i can get here back on the road.
