i work opposite a non-ferrous scrap place.....learnt a lot what things are worth!!
needless to say,my unit is collecting crap quite nicely! fat turkey for me at xmas!! lol

depends on what cat it is...but this is what i got..

2001 1.25 fiesta cat(genuine) 12.50!!!!!
1999 vectra sri (genuine) 45.00

some cats off mercs,bmws etc up to 100!!!!!

Sorry to go a bit off topic, but how much are they worth weighed in?
I weighed in my c70 cat last year and got £65,glad i did because i would have bined it aswell lol.

I'm always skip diving for scrap , where I work they're always chucking cats away coz they can't be bothered to take em to the scrappy, they call me a magpie but this one has the last laugh lol

Lovely !

I decatted mine when it had the 15G fitted, it has a cat fitted now with the 16T will probably de-cat it next week sometime....

Ahh interesting? So that's what is rattling inside mine!
Neat job cutting it open, what did you use? Are you going to weld it back up and use it? Let us know how you get on?

wow i thought i was imagining things when i went from de cat to cat,i thought it felt slower now i know why!! great photos and very neat job so now you can just weld the lid back on and hey presto a de cat pipe that wont upset the mot man lol

I cut it open with a disc cutter with a 1m/m blade and have now welded it back together, photo`s to follow.........:D

Last time i gutted a cat/cats was on a 3.0 Omega MV6, it sounded awful ! It sounded really raspy and sounded knackered lol, much rather replace with a bit of pipe.

How does it sound on yours ?
