Need a little help here, i have changed the engine in the c70 i have for a different engine, when i did the change on the v70 i had to change the ecu, immo box and the key

I have done the same with the c70 and got nothing.... what else do i need to change it, i have done so far:

ECU change
Took the chip out of the key and placed it into a new key
Changed the immo box

and thats it, is there something else i need as im stumped, i put the 2.0t ecu and the original immo box, use the original key and it fires up but very badly due to not being right ecu

any help would be hugely appreciated :) thanks in advance

Think Deathrider was/is having the same problem.

I thought the ME7 has an immo chip which is coded to the CEM (central electronic module) - porting ECUs is difficult (well according to Hamish). Bubba & I faced the same issue when porting the RICA mapped ECU to his car from the one I dragged up from Devon.

How much are you changing?? Never heard of the need to change ECUs when you swap engines?? You swapping all the electrics too??

development to "jailbreak" the ECU is still ongoing.

from reading what they acually do you need a hybrid of the 2 ECUs on one ECU, V70R peramiters with the immobiliser info from the 2.0lpt ECU that way it will be set up correctly to run the R engine

sounds like a lot of §§§§ing about lol, tbh i thought they just basically found a way to delete the immo part of the ecu??

nah not really as long as they have cracked the code to be able to write to the ECU its just a case of putting the files on the correct ECU then it will be plug and play

no the 2.0 one with V70r or T5 running software that way you wont be disturbing any of the immobiliser files
