View Full Version : S60R under bonnet trim

Has anyone with an S60R or P2 V70R fitted an AMS and still got the plastic cover that they would have had to remove to fit it. The trim in question is square and mounted behind the NS headlight on 3 squash clips over some tubing. Its like a raised black plastic cover type trim. I was a tad heavy handed when removing mine to replace the headlight bulb and managed to snap it in half. :-(

Mine had a crack in it already, use a socket over the clips next time that makes life much easier

Yeah I know, won't be making that mistake again lol. Thought I'd ask on here first before trying Volvo. Don't think it's fitted to Non R models.

Someone on here is breaking an R at the moment, he may be worth a try.

I'll have a look for the thread cheers buddy. While I think of it next time you're out at your car can you have a look through your headlight lens and look at the HID bulb and check where the wire on your bulb is. Top, Bottom or Side. Just wanna make sure I've put mine in right cause I didn't think to check when I first put them in.

It looks to be at the bottom.

Just to add the one on my motor was cracked when I got it ,main dealer service for you.
Ps its still broken and will stay that way until I can get a cheap one any offers??.

DTP has got one for me but i think Volvo(qady) on here is breaking an R. He said he was gonna check the condition of his. If he comes back saying its fine I'll let you know mate.

Good news I found it. :) it is in near perfect condition. I will get it in the post as soon as I have time. It will be Wednesday or Thursday.

Bit of a update just got got one from volvo and the price was a massive £14.80 to say I was shocked was a understatement the parts guy didn't know if its to much or not enough when I asked if he was sure.
Well it's on it's way with lots of other bits.

I must say it was a lot cheaper than I throught it was going to be.it is about a foot square.

I did get some more clips and fixings which were a lot more ,and a hole lot smaller.

Only the later one's the early P2 T5's don't have it, maybe just the 2.4s.

I didn't break the last one was like it when I got the car.
