Boost Gauge Wire Help

I've bought a boost gauge from a member on another forum.

Its a Auto Gauge boost gauge, it has 4 wire coming from it, 1 Black, 1 Purple, 1 Orange & 1 Yellow.

Can anyone help with telling me what each wire is for?

I'm guessing,

Black = earth
Yellow = power
Purple = ?
Orange = ?

But I might be wrong with that.

Ok the likelyhood is...
black = ground
yellow = control (ignition on, gauge on)
one of the other two would be to light the face and or needle when you turn the lights on.

With mine, I just twisted all the wires that weren't black together and attached them to live :)
