I discovered this whilst doing some ETM cleaning reearch on ebay. Someone has put up a video showing the symptoms of a failing ETM. It might be useful for anyone who wants to have a look....

Well as we established, mine is still a Magneti Marelli unit so it could go again. I'm hoping some routine cleaning will reduce the risk of this.

Unfortunately, the bit you'll be cleaning isn't the bit that goes wrong and i would strongly recomend you leave the internal gubbins well alone, one mistake could be a costly one :(
You have a repaired unit so you should be ok for some time yet :) at 220k with no problems, I don't think there will be any problems.
