Hi Guys,
Recently tried to access via OBD2, I think I had the wrong software and it didn't connect. Ever since, my immobiliser has been deciding to engage at random, sometimes it locks me out, othertimes not, othertimes again it works after 2/3 tries.
This applies to both the 'normal' key and to my remote-start system (which, I believe, has the valet key stuck somewhere under the column so that the immobiliser lets it start remotely).
Perhaps it's caused by the automotive equivalent of an 'improper logout'...
If it REALLY refuses to disengage, I plug in my OBD reader, turn on the ignition, then turn it off, remove the OBD reader and the ECU resets, bob's your uncle.
Bizarre. That said, the batteries in my remote starter died the other day, and I remember reading something in the instruction booklet about 'not trying to open the car from too far away' or it'll fudge with the immobiliser?
