Need both front lower wishbones for my 2002 S60.

Anyone know where I can get them at best price?

Thanks

Check with FRF first.
I think they are about the £90 mark.

There was a member on here (V70Torslanda ?) that was doing 'exchange' wishbones which were already polybushed up....might be worth making enquiries.

Other than that, if your after OE then try Simon at FRF quoting the forums discount. If it's patent parts your after then perhaps EuroCarParts. HTH

I wouldn't go pattern if I were you. I did a lot of research when mine needed changing. Seems the vast majority of people weren't even getting 10k miles out of non-gen arms!! They're a total false economy. Replacement arms from FRF are £107 each + delivery. As it was only the front bushes that needed doing on mine, the rears were perfect as yours probably will be, and the ball joints were fine also, I polybushed! £36 for both bushes and real easy to fit with basic tools and knowledge! Probably 2.5-3 hrs labour at a garage which would bring it close to new OEM arms.

Aah, I see. I believe there is a company that does the rear (disk shaped?) bush. I'll see what I can do... hold on...

If the rears are shot I'd bet the fronts are too!! In which case you may as well chuck a pair of genuine arms on and done with it surely? Front polybushes are fine but I bet it's be an awful hard ride with the whole arm polybushed??

Did front and rear bushes on V70Graham's P1 yeaterday and although there is more "feel" through the front wheels, it's definately not a harder ride. The P1 cars are lighter too. When I polybushed the front bushes on mine, I had the same result - more feel but no more harshness. I would happily have polys on the rear bushes of my wishbones but I don't think there are any. Definately not powerflex ones anyway.

But will you feel any difference if you fit oem wishbones compared to polybushing old ones?

Any improvement on knackered bushes is gonna be an improvement. Polys, in my honest opinion (and now Grahams ;)) are simply better. Last longer too.

Martin do you think they will last longer than your original ones

You will probably never find out as the car will have gone to heaven before they are worn out.lol

I'm very confident that they'll last longer. Pedro has had polys on BT since 2008 and although BT hasn't moved much, the bushes are still in the same condition as when they were new. Normal rubber would usually start to go brittle and perish if left that long. I killed my OE bushes while trying to stop from 143mph (on a runway of course) the polys have seen much more abuse than the OE ones did and are still perfect.

I plan to get 300K out of the Big Sweed before she goes to turbo-heaven so time will tell lol. ;)
