yesterday i made the 450 around trip to hlm to get my sick volvo looked at by the volvo doctor. it didnt take long for hamish to diagnose the issue. poor previous software. i wont go into details and start ww3. after the issue was sorted the car was put on roller and made 261 bhp. exactly wear it should be. then the autotech software was fitted and a couple of power runs were done. the result was 327bhp and 428nm torque.

so a big thanks to hamish and nat who made me feel very welcome there. i can highly recomend hlm to all volvo owners.

Good results! I think on these 2.4 T5s the autotech is a very good map.

Just under 500n/m and a nearly new R clutch is not gripping so well over 500 if i can find a clutch to bite ie 6 pad but i will kill the present one before i go down that route :)

340bhp and yes pulls like a bitch need no more to be honest through the front wheels its hard enough to get the power down as it is just need to get some testing in on the 1/4 mile to trim my driving Vs the power out.

it certainly is tempting, what kind of gains does hlm make on the 2.3 T5 model..??, the 2.4 T5 results are smashing.

Unfortunatly you don't get as much with the 2.3, think its the kkk24 on the 2.4 that makes the difference.

I'd say it would still be worth it, you get decent improvements with most turbos.

Looks like the extra mods mean faster pick up, and a little more torque/peak power. Here's mine to compare to, with no other mods other than the map.

I've been told 280-290 bhp on ours and a nice big lump of torque too ;)

a solid 280bhp would be nice, with a healthy torque curve all the way through the gears... tbh i'll never travel over 130mph, ever.

so i want a map which produces serious acceleration rather than top end speed.

Our cars wheelspin in 2nd and 3rd anyway, reduced slightly by good tyres and shocks etc.
better power delivery yes but we'd have to learn to be a bit more careful with the right foot methinks lol.

lol..... i struggle to make mine spin in 3rd or 2nd, maybe im not slamming it enough or maybe ive got some serious boost issues, how good is the DSTC while engaged..??

DSTC is quite effective but it'll normally tell you if it's working as you'll get a flashing amber warning in the bottom right corner of your DIM.

My car had a stuck wastegate which stopped it boosting properly, it may be worth checking yours.
