View Full Version : Dodgy Fuel Gauge!

Hi guys on my pre me7 p1 v70 t5 my fuel gauge is up and down all the time! i thought it was the new pump and sender i put in but changed it back to original and its still doing it?! I thought i was out of fuel so put £20 in and its still up and down so i dont know how much fuel i have!! Any ideas?? i can do a video of it if needed :) cheers

It's the speed that you go round corners that causes the gauge issues mate!! LOL.

With other cars mate, but not with a Volvo. The gauge goes down far too quick sometimes, but that's a T5 for you.

Found a pdf file that gives instructions how to test the fuel gauge and sender unit, it's for the 850 but I think a p1 should be the same. It maybe of absolutely no use and irrelevant....worth a look though.
