I've read quite a few times about people having front wheel rub due to using wider than standard wheels/tyres. I've just had it with my 17" Ortreras on my V70 T5, and it turned out to be so easy to sort out. The stops arrived from Volvo the next day and were promptly fitted by my local Volvo independent, and the problem is sorted, although with slightly reduced steering lock.

HAHAHAHA!! I'd heard that you were into spanking Martin! I won't be coming down South for a very long time, honest! Anyway, with foam in my pants, I won't feel much pain.

I needed to go and have my lamda light checked as well as it was on, so I killed 2 birds with 1 stone. I have already done them once myself, and lost one within a day or so!!

I went with the C70 blue ones, but I would rather stop the rub and lose a bit of steering lock than knack up my wheel archliners.

It's not too bad to be honest, but this is a p1.

Shane, you tried the steering lock on a P2 V70 - just as bad, if not worse. I just put reverse parking sensors on mine for that very reason lol (12.95 from Amazon)

Reverse parking sensors? They're for women- oh, hang on, I've got them, and they're bl--dy good. The handbook says not to rely on them too much, but I do. Just got to keep them clean in Winter.

Hi just to add when you fit new stops ,put a bit of grease on the stops as this will make them last a lot longer ,they will wear quite fast if you hit a bump on full lock when they are dry.

Thanks, I never thought of that. My tub of grease is ready to get some slapped on in the morn.

I've been extensively testing them since I fitted them on friday. Much to the annoyance of the owner of the Audi TT parked outside my house lol

I find that it's not just whats behind you, but also whats at the side. I really miss them when I jump in a car without them.

Just applied grease to the stops, and with the way I feel today, that might be all that I get done today. Thanks for the tip.
