Allo boys n girls,just bought me first T5 estate,and hope to have a bit work done to it ,engine wise in the near future etc,wondered if you can reccomend any good mechanics/garages,who are good with these cars,and are not gonna want me to remortgage my house to pay for the work,So theres the challenge lads n lasses,reccomend somewhere decent in the north east please.....cheers :B_steerin

Take your car to Autofix, they are volvo specialists. They are spot on for price and they do a crackin job. 0191 251 7866 Ask for brian or martin, tell them mac gave you their number. :B_thumb:

There's a company in Thornaby called Volmech who are pretty good. All Volvo qualified mechanics who charge around £ 35 an hour labour which is pretty good.

If you need servicing or anything cant recommend volmech more highly, all ex Volvo mechanics.

If you need an exhaust or downpipe or anything like that speak to AAS in Newcastle 0191 2673718 really helpfull and excellent quality!

Spoke to the guys at autofix, they will read your fault codes for free & they charge £30 per hour labour. so not too ba eh?

thanks for that mate,i dont actually pick up my car until tuesday 20/09/05.but think ill run about in it for a few days,before i pop it over for the lads to have a look at,but either way ill get in touch,so you can have a pop over...cheers again..

Hey Mac,my S70 T5 could probably use a diagnostic session as I'm sure I've got several fault codes in there somewhere. I'm assuming with an 0191 phone number that they're in the Newcastle area? Could you let me know where? Cheers
