Just bought a cargo net for the boot of the S60, found that the OE nets for the Ford C-Max fit perfectly. Ford Part number 8A0 03104 1BLK, bought mine off eBay.

When fitted, the net is stretched slightly, just enough for it to be suspended off the boot floor but with lots of potential for expansion for securing loads.

Quality Ford :shhh: item with strong plastic hooks...

Aaah, so that's how it works - I've had one in the boot since I got the bloody car and never bothered to work out what it's for. Mind, if we're carrying something delicate, I get the missus to hold it on her lap :D

Where is the plastic boot liner from? Does it replace the normal boot bottom?

I bought mine from eBay from a company called Leisure Shack

Leisure Shack eBay Linky (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volvo-S60-Saloon-Boot-Liner-2001-07-2010-/120905749477?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1c268b53e5)

They fit perfectly & unlike some other cheaper versions, you don't get a nasty rubber smell.

Does it replace the boot base or go on top of it?

Sorry Matt....it just sits on top of the original boot carpet.

It's made from a flexible plastic as opposed to rubber, it's semi rigid (oooeeerrr) and lightweight so it's easy to remove and refit when necessary. The centre section is lined with the anti-slip material. They're not the cheapest boot liners, but they're made to measure & do fit without trimming.

They measure approx 38inches from n/s to o/s & approx 23inches front to rear.

The cargo net fitted would probably extend comfortably to 30-35 inches front to rear if the anchors on the estate are further apart.

I paid £15 inc p&p for a brand new one off eBay from a seller who just had a few.....

eBay Link....sold out (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261000352786?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649)

After doing a quick search, it looks like I could've got the same one a little cheaper - £10.99 in p&p (http://www.care4car.com/productdisplay/modelfinder/142/Ford_Focus_C_Max_2003_onwards_Car_Boot_Cargo_Lugga ge_Net.html) Not sure if this one is Fords OE though.

Well i bought a genuine net (featured above) from the Ford dealer for £16. I was happy until it broke 2 days later! Crap!! Like everything in life....you get what you pay for!

So i got a full refund and took my £16 and added it towards a genuine Volvo net for about £70. Much better quality, bigger, more flexible and more importantly...it hasn't broke!

Lesson learn't i think.

Hardly a surprise considering that Ford (Fix Or Repair Daily), owned Volvo when the car was made. :D

Sorry to hear about your dodgy net....I've regularly carried two lots of scuba diving kit with 2 15L cylinders all nicely secured. Mines still fine.

The part i bought was a genuine Ford part for a c-max. Tried to save myself some dow but i shouldn't have bothered and just gone with the oe part in the first place. Had nothing to do with Volvo or Ford ownership.
