Getting my first volvo next week, a 2002 volvo v70 t5 geartronic

Anything I should check when I first get it? Get done? Upgrade? ...as a rule.

Its done 85k, pretty much full history. Having full service first with cambelt and also transmisiion fluid.

Its having body work touched up as well as im particularly picky along with wheel refurb.

Main reason I got it is four of us have a two and a half week trip through europe in September, want to install a double din dvd. Is. There a head unit that's better to fit? Also keeps steering wheel controls?

Appreciate your insight.

Hi welcome, the double din it's not as easy as it sounds there is one I think but it's BIG money.
I think the same one which will work with the wheel controls.
Sorry cant think of the make at the moment.

Regarding the maintenence issue, it sounds like you've got that covered with a service, cambelt and changing the gearbox fluid.

The box is the main thing to keep an eye on as the geartronics can have issues when they go past around 100k, without having fluid changes.
