The lock on my fuel flap has never worked on my car since i bought it (96 850) but sudenly it decided to work.....once! So now my fuel flap is locked and won't open, i may have to force it open at a last option but i don't want to if i can help it.

I have 1/4 tank left so solutions need to be pretty hasty lol.

anyone know how to open the flap from the inside or remove the lock mechanism from inside the boot?

Cheers.

Mark.

On the 850 there is a manual over-ride in the boot, drivers side near the light cluster. think it's a white wire pull handle.
You'll need to remove the trim panel to see it.
Hope this helps!
Liberal dosing of WD40 did the trick on mine!

Same advice as above you'll find the wire behind the rear light cover. You'll need to ensure that you un-bolt the thing and test it all works before you re-assemble it to find any faults......quite easy to remove though and there's not much to the workings.....
