Evening all !

Thought it was about time i stuck a few pics up of my car.

Its a Black 1996 'P' 850 T5 CD Manual Estate  I have wanted a T5 for ages after test driving one a few years back...and after looking for nearly 3 years i finally found the one i like more than anything on Ebay, stuck a few bids in and it was finally mine

Ive always wanted to modify a car but never had the enthusiasm to do so... However after i picked it up all i wanted to do was buy and modify it, im not into bodykits/stripes or neons lol, im quite happy with a decent suspension drop, some alloys and maybe a different exhaust. So far i have done the following..

De-cat/de-silenced, "3 Exit "plantpot" silencer (temp until i get a custom)
Rica 304 bought of dalhousie 2008
Re-circ valve blanking plate fitted
Cone filter
Powerflex top mount
HID headlights and orange bulbs in the side markers

Plans are :

16t turbo (off dalhousie2008 again)
Injectors
Lowered suspension
bigger alloys
brake upgrade

Anywho, enough chatting, heres some pics....

Managed to do this when de-catting which meant i had to remove the turbo to drill and re-tap :(

This was the reason for the plant pot fitting....

That is the tailpipe coming from the silencer, pretty much rusty all along the length of it

So yeah, thats my car!

Thanks for looking

Nice one cheers Steve!

i dream of being able to get an r up car ramps

I struggled with mine, if you look you can see some "pre" ramps in front of the standard ramps, these help alot

Been LED'ing the front side lights and the footwell lights today...

Wanted to LED the footwell lights but cant stand bright white, so went for warm white.

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a385/ayden17/e4d9efec.jpg

Might put some more in on the other side of the footwell to even it up a little....

I quite like the look of the American style "marker lights" i tried it with a standard yellow bulb but it started to melt the cluster due to the wattage being too high lol, decided that yellow LED's would suffice...

They compliment the HID's really well and not too bright that they can be confused for indicators lol

Well today at Combe pretty much ££££ed it !

Boosting well for the first lap, started stuttering under load which i was expecting, after a lap on the overun it was smoking badly which again i wasnt too worried about....

Stuttering got worse to the point it wouldnt do anything over 1/2 throttle without a fuss....... smoking got alot worse, then noticed a drop in oil pressure at idle.... temp gauge stayed at half way....

Decided to pull off the track as i didnt want it to explode on the track and cause more delays, upon drivng back to the stand it was apparant there was an issue, smoke pouring out the bonnet, in through the vents inside, even with the windows open it looked like we had fire !

The marshalls stopped me and told me to cut the engine, this was the last time the engine would ever run..... the engine has split a hose dropping all the coolant, boiled the engine (again with no rise on the gauge) this in turn boiled the oil which fried the mains and the big end. We sorted the split hose but it was leaking out of the block :( at this point it was decided its not worth fixing and to just get it home!!!

Soooo RIP... P714 HAR, I sure will miss you !! :'(

Cheers Graham, it would appear a replacement has already arrived, in the shape of a V70R

Got it home today, its definately §§§§§§ed, spews water out the bottle as soon as you turn the key, leaking out the back of the block and compression (barely) on 1 cylinder.........

Ive also just gone and bought a V70R for £400 :D this will was gonna be the runaround, however complications in taxing the bloody thing has meant a new plan had to be hatched.......

So also today i brought the 850R i had in storage home this already has tax and MOT etc etc, this had a new engine put in a few weeks ago (after i blew that up aswell) but i didnt finish it, now the T5 is §§§§§§ed im going to spend tomorrow swapping the bits needed from the T5 to the 850R so that i can use that whilst i wait for the gubbins to come through for the V70R....... Confused ? yeah me too lol

Still at least i have all 3 of them home :D
