So what will it take to get my car to the magic 300bhp?

Current spec is as listed;

It has a 16t turbo fitted.
Running white (350cc) injectors.
S60R manifold.
Reverse Intercooler Pipework (RIP Kit)

I have a dyno print-out that shows at 278.8bhp with 361ft-lb, 239whp

Unsure on the state of the map or what boost i'm actually running.

In 3rd gear foot to the floor the needle on the boost guage is bouncing off the end of the counter (just past 20psi).

I assume the first stage will be a new map. Would I need a custom one, or would a RICA / HLM off-the-shelf one suffice?

Is the 16t capable of 300 or would I need to look at going up to an 18t? I don't want to be running silly power so I wont need a 19t will I?

Many thanks
Pete

if its only 278bhp at 20psi then you will need a bigger turbo mate, think about a decat, a 19t isnt gonna give you silly power my is 311bhp at 18psi

dan850r added just a 3" downpipe and he released another 20bhp to take his 16t to 305bhp but at only 1.1 bar so im a bit sceptical

I was thinking 300 crank. That'll do me

its very dependant on your engine and how healthy it is and what it is putting out standard, bigger turbo injectors and exhaust, decat etc will easily do it mate

Which is possibly down to a faulty bcs allowing the boost to rise as the revs rised, nearly 20 psi at 6200rpm so i later found out. But its having some serious boost related problems at the moment hence not being at the 1/4mile

pete yours is almost the same spec as mine but with a different map, if your cars still up the riad from me your more than welcome to try my ecu in it (hlm)

60ft = 2.4681
1/8et = 9.5019
1/8mph = 79.3800
1/4 et = 14.3800
1/4 mph = 100.66
