Thought i posted this question the other day but it seems to have disappeared? Anyway, does anybody know where the door switches are that activate the interior lights?

Cheers

Hi Darren,

Unfortunately Volvo had the clever idea to incorporate the switch inside the lock mechanism. Great, nice and neat but bloody expensive if all you need to replace is the switch.

Whatever happened to the good old earthed plunger switch?

I think it's a new lock mech job I'm afraid although you may be able to get one second hand.

Regards

Andy

Thanks for that Andy, i thought it would somthing typical of Volvo's forward thinking technical advances. Great when they're new, but a downright pain in the a**e when they get older and start going wrong!
The switches work, but sometimes the light's won't go off and you have to slam the door, i presume they must work on some sort of earthing system from the lock to the lock catch, maybe i'll try giving them a clean up and see what happens!
