Evenin,

Tried to remove the downpipe today, i have a 1996 850 T5, unfortunately 1 stud sheared (even though it was hot) and one has stripped the thread on the nut.....

Whats the easiest way to remove the turbo ? I can see the 4 bolts holding the turbo to the manifold but would like know the easiest/most conveniant (if there is one) to remove it ?

Cheers all !

If you are just looking to remove the compressor side, i found this guide earlier:

I find splitting the turbo makes it alot easier removing it, Allows you to gain easier access to the nuts holding the exhaust housing to manifold.

Cheers Chaps !

WillT5 - Thanks for the that guide, if only it were that simple ! the bolts are on the turbo-downpipe flange, so unfortunately just removing the compressor side wont cut it, however that guide will help me identify where everything is lol !

Cheers again !
