hi there,
the mods i have are remap, k and n panel filter, samco silicon hoses, drilled airbox, horns moved and a mesh grill apart from that its a standard yellow T5R saloon and i love it. We have had volvo's in the family for years and i now have a very envious dad that trys nicking the keys every time possible!!!!
wot do u recommend as the next mod then??? de cat?? :) :) :)

i have just looked at justins 0-60 vid. i have had a recorded 6.21 but must try again with the increased bhp, is 6.21 about right???? who thinks it quicker with the tracs on or off??

You should be able to get a sub 6 mate, the tracs wont make any difference on the 850 either. The next mod i would go for is a turbo upgrade and remap, about 340bhp, thats about all that the engine will stand really, before the internals start to bend.

Duane AKA Covcrew has a decat, it sounds delightful, and spits flames, and considering he runs an MBC with no remap the car is as fast as mine, very slightly quicker over a ¼ mile.

I'm sure the man himself will jump in when he is ready.....Que Duane......:worship:

I have recorded a 14.6 1/4 mile. She is no slouch. I am not quite certain about the 0 -60 but it is near to 6 secs as I can work out and that is in a AT car

the difference it made to BT was unbelievable especially for the money, boost winds up alot quicker than before & makes for a very fun drive :dgrin:

How do they pass an MOT without a CAT in the system?, doesn't it knock the emissions up at all? :shifty:

:wallbash: erm forgot that bit, you need to refit the CAT for the MOT

sounds interesting, does it flame with the de cat??? where can i get 1 and roughly how much are they??? :thewave:

i get a massive bang when i back off boost & J says he's seen flames out of both tail pipes :sinner: , whether this is the de-cat or the exhaust i've no idea. Either way i'd recommend it IF you can be bothered with the hassle at MOT time

i got mine done by Powerflow (http://www.powerflow.uk.com/) but can't say how much it cost because it was done with a complete exhaust, but for 2-3 foot of straight pipe & a bit of time cutting & jointing it shouldn't be to dear. They give free estimates so it won't hurt to see what they say

Welcome to the forum Adam! Sounds like you have a pearl of a beast there!!! When do we get to meet her!!!!

If your into noise and pyrotechnics then definately get a powerflow exhaust and decat! Pedro's (Duane's) is beyond words!!! One of the best T5's I have ever known (and have the priviledge of driving and that thing is a monster to drive!!)

Keep us updated!

There are a few southerners on here, in fact I was in Kent all week last week.

We will probably start the Santa Pod meets Aprilish - better chance of a dry day and we tend to stay in a cheap hotel the night before for a bit of a get together so it would be good to see you there!

The rolling road session is in Yorkshire so a million miles from you!
