Hi guys....

Finally found what may be causing my coolant issues....

Just doing an oil change and there are fresh coolant drips on the filter and coming from above it :(

Can I assume this is water pump??

This is so annoying as the car takes me to France on Wednesday!! I can either risk it and just keep an eye on the level and top it up as and when, or hope to god I can get the car booked in on monday or tuesday to have it replaced!

Poss cracked water bottle seeing as you had rad issue's, they go at the Header tank nipple to stat pipe, could be leaking under pressure when hot.

The water pump is at the back of the engine, cant see it leaking foward, only a suggestion you may be right.

Or even the stat housing itself, where the lid seals to it's housing.

I would say its from the water pump, and, no, I wouldn't risk it, the pump is driven off the cambelt, if the pump goes, it will throw the belt!

Oil filter [I]is[I] at the back of the engine on the right hand side if looking under it.

Hopefully its a cheap fix.....however its £200 plus the cost of a pump at worst case....

Lucky I have the spare funds to do it!!

Back right?

Mines on the front of the engine, hangs just below the crank pulley, if looking at the engine through the drivers side wheel arch.

I'm confusing myself....

Just hope it holds out on the dyno tomorrow morning......having said that I think its been leaking for a while.

Cheers mate, just called ACC, they have found about 6-7 different joins in the coolant system all leaking/perished!

So good news about the pump but I can only wait to hear the cost of finding and fixing the leaks.

Still a plus in my book though!
