Hi Guys,

Ok, when i cleaned and polished it and made it look pretty (the car) i noticed that just behind the front mudflappy things, there was grey speckles on the paintwork.

I have tried to get this off using all manner of methods from a clay kit, t-cut and meguaires ultimate compound... Nothing seems to fetch it off!

All i can think is that its some form road surgacing gunk that has welded itself on.

I was thinking of using one of them yellow and green dish washing sponges as it is slightly abrasive on the green part along with some form of compound.

anyone else had a similar situation?

Sounds like tar mate, there are loads of products that work well to remove it.

Please don't use a Brillo pad on your car....try a bit of WD40.

I certainly wouldn't use a brillo pad, iv used the less aggressive sponges which used with some water are ok, a bit of ultimate compound after usually clears up any fine scratches.
