hello all,
My name is jon (26 years old) i live in fareham hants, i own a 855r only for about 3 months now and all is goin very well, :) ,am impressed with what it keeps up with or beats!!! This is also my first time ever writing up on a forum :hidesbehi and have been searching it avidly for a few weeks now, lots of interesting stuff (thanks all :worship: ) unfortunately i have been unable to find out how to reset my srs light on my dash after dismantling the intire dash to replace some bulbs! if any1 knows that would b sweet (bit worried might b a dealer thing).

What year is your car 96 ?

The SRS light needs to be reset via OBDII, this is the socket under the coin tray on the dash under the ashtray. If you pop down to the workshop of your local dealer and grab a mechanic on a fag break they will usually do it for a drink ;) , If not go to an independant Volvo specialist.

Is your car standard or modified? and how much did you give for it ???

i know the port u mean i first found it by accident, found quite a few gadgets on the net to plug in to that!!!
yes my car is a 96, no mods as yet that i no of (nothing visible) hoping to early in the year tho bit skint at mo with xmas and being self-employed (no pay 4 2 weeks off!) :(
i payed 5500 for it and with the high mileage and reading forums think that was quite steep! but i have done 6000 in the first 2 months which meant my first service (with volvo)(apart from 1 small gap its got a fsh) they told me i have bought a good car :)
Gotta buy tires next thinkin bout toyo proxes r888 (not sure yet tho!) £ouch!

Happy new year all,
i bought it on 133, and just a couple of days ago hit 140, its a manual, it was a spur of the moment buy just happened to pass the garage it was in, and that also happened 2 b the first day on the forecourt, didnt stay there long! will try n put pics in gallery 2day.
