And well worth the effort!
Car feels solid now, - and not just when cornering.

Totally agree the strut brace has made an immense difference to the handling of my car. Cant believe that Volvo didn't fit them as standard!

Thought I might assist in this one...(in the shape/looks dept)

SB's are Volvo OEM parts.
Feet sit ontop of the suspension turrets using the nuts/bolts that hold the top mounts. V Easy to fit.

Think someone is having a back hander there, thats a rip off I paid £52 inc Vat from a dealer, but it is who you know now wat you kow.

It's the same spec as the Volvo ones, because they are Volvo ones. We keep them in stock because many people buy them as a last minute purchase when having an upgrade of some sort.

Bought mine today from dealers, £64 + vat.
Nice bit of kit and a bargain for OEM part, stands out though being ali, makes the rest of the engine bay look a bit dull.
Can't wait to try out...hope it makes the difference you all say!

S40 strut braces cost an absolute fortune suppose volvo don't really sell as many so they cost more to make but still 150's abit steap,

I got mine at trade but it still cost me well over 100 quid

I ordered a strut brace from strutbracer.co.uk. It appears to have a kink i n the right place, its made by OMP, its red and shiny and it DONT FIT!

Mounting holes dont match the bolt locations and the kink doesn't go around the reservoir :>(

So it will have to go back - their reason is that its only for LHD cars. Odd. Adam says he can help though, no probs and the local Inchcape Volvo said they do not have one for the 850, though I am not convinced the guy knows what a strut brace actually is!
LOL - looking forward to getting it done at VT when I go for a suspension upgrade.
