Bagged a Holset!

Just got this through work, Will get the serial number after dinner. Came from a Volvo too :D
Bearings are shot to pieces and compressor wheels ££££ed. Inlet's 4" and outlet's 2". Exhaust fitments 6 stud.
Any good to anyone?

Which model is it mate? You can get mint HX35's for 200quid which are good for 500bhp. You will need an external wastegate and the internal gate welded shut as the internal gate is too small to regulate boost. Holsets are mega turbos for the money!

What size exhaust housing does it have? They are usually stamped inside exhaust inlet or on the outside. Will be in cm2. The huge housings are far too laggy but if you can get a 10, 12,14 cm2 these spool well.

Great turbo if your after 550+bhp lol. Not much use on a 300bhp T5 unless you like lag.

Lol, I wasn't gonna use it, Just pull it apart and be nosey. I think it's too far gone anyway.
It dropped the nut off the compressor wheel which got dragged inside and destroyed the bearings. The knackered wheels now touching the casing and scored it pretty well.
