twin exhausts

I'm planning on changing the standard exhaust for a sports exhaust.
Option 1.
Change the standard silencer for a sports silencer and have twin tail pipes.
Option 2.
Do away with the standard silencer and have twin back boxes.

Which option is best and will sound good ?

If you work on pure harmonics surely a single central silencer would have less capability than two.. Also distance from the engine and silencing position.

Then add in the type of silencer you choose... It can be as loud or quite as you want.

twin exit pies on each side do look nice.. which is what i fancy but atm money restricts what i can buy

Twin exit, one either side of the car, actually really suit the estates...

straight through from the turbo, no cat one small box at the rear, single exit
