S40 S madness - have to squash it

Hi all,

my friend just smashed up his pristine S40 S - 05 plate with less than 30,000 miles on clock and is going to squash it in the next couple of days. :mad:

What would you do in this situation?

Take out all the expensive bits and flog them on ebay, assuming the car is a mangled wreck? I'd cut the cat off the exhaust remove ecu and whatever else i could get my grubby mitts on lol

Must be badly damaged to be a write off, any pictures? Is it a t5?

Unfortunately I didn't have time to get anymore than both rear lights, drivers side headlight (other smashed) and 3 wheels + spare wheel (friend took the tyres back except spare wheel). I wish I had time to remove the whole engine and the other big bits but the scrapman arrived.
