hi all. my car just failed its mot on a wishbone and shock absorber, is it best to replace with original volvo parts or use cheaper parts. been quoted £230 to supply and fit them plus a drop link and tracking. cheers adam

Normally u get what u pay for.£230 wiv original bits all in is a good price.

probably get it cheaper wishbone is £90 fitted droplink £15 done at the same time shock about £50 plus fitting

Thats OE parts u talkin about.Say if u get A KYB shock which should be good `cos they been on the market for ages or Sachs or bilstein both do original equipment for diff main dealers.First line wishbone very good quality etc.Basically shop around and ask what make are they.labour is no more than 2hours for all that.

i got a pattern wishbone at mot time and it was £27 quid from euros

I can tell u 100% it is a Q-drive one.They don`t last so not my cup of tea.Wiv yr power I`d have a good one Frankie.

it actually was a replacement for one that was fitted last year (£60) and that didnt last at all mate either

I dont buy parts like that from EURO tbh,but less than a year is taking a mikky.If the b/joints are good I`d polibush them mate.

yeah will get round to it but i'm taming down the v70r making it more standard in the way it drives the s70r will be my racer now

nah mate don't like them that much gonna stick an 850r spoiler on and a v70r spoiler on then top of the rear windscreen, and put all my v70r stuff on it, once i change the engine that is

Wasn`t my choice.I bought it like that,can`t say I like it but the bumper been trimmed a bit so can`t go back.
