a good quality Dot 4 will do (dot 5.1 as a performance upgrade, I believe) I used 4L to fully flush but you don't need that much to do a quick job. Start by bleeding the rear o/s then rear n/s then front n/s and finally front o/s and clutch. (I think that's the right order - how I did mine any-hoo) good luck ;)

I just done my whole brake system with ate super blue dot4. Would highly recommend this fluid.

If you pump out all your old fluid, catch it in bottles then put new stuff in. It comes out blue so u can tell when u are getting old fluid out. When you bleed tube is all blue u can empty it back into the can and reuse it.

I done this for all 4 calipers and only used about 600ml of fluid

Use the blue stuff, i included the ebay link. 19 quid delivered and like i say u wont even use the whole litre. If you are careful.

The quality is very high for the price, the dry and wet boiling points are above average for price range. Good all rounder i say

My 5.1 fluid was tested the other day - still got a boiling point of 198 degrees C. Not bad after 5 years of abuse.

Dave what fluid are you using and how much did it cost, i forgot all about 5.1. I was more concerned about using as little as possible hence reason i went for blue stuff.

Also is that dry or wet point it was tested at ?

Post in a bit on how you find the Yellows could you? Only ever heard good things (same with Blue NDX), but i'm sceptical considering the §§§§e EBC have been selling for years...

I use 5.1 synthetic. Its silicone based and hygroscopic so can be replaced every 5 years. Its the best stuff to use.
