Why not? I think I've spent the last 13 months polishing a turd so a c/f mold should be easy! pmsl.

The mold is fiber-glass but I thinking it's for a c/f bonnet, thus making it a c/f mold, like a jelly mold isn't made from jelly ;)

On A serious note could the mould be used for either material (Carbon or glass fibre)??

Or just glass fibre?

yes, the mold can be used for either, I was going to make the bonnet in C/F, but I can't find one piece of cloth big enough, but I may still go C/F and spray the bonnet instead of just black jel coat.

Looking forward to the result. Will you be going for the T5K style vent or do you have something else in mind?

JUDGENINJA

If you've already looked without success then I'm not sure if I'll have too much success either, but I'll make a couple of calls tomorrow to a couple of contacts

It's only the top skin that needs to be laid well the strength can be made up of bits and pieces..

T-5K vent will be no more, no more top mount intercooler, the TMIC will be replaced by a charge cooler off a subaru legasy. So the car should look standard with a knackered alternator bearing ;)

It all seems to be 1mtr wide by whatever length you want.

Shame, i thought it set the look of the car apart, like the twinturbo supras having the big vent in the bonnet, you knew what you were looking at. Although I always wondered how effective the tmic was, being sat right on top of the head, with little airflow... Stll, good luck with the build.

One of my (not so close) mates works for Maclaren F1 I'll see what he uses.

The TMIC was very effective once on the move (much better than the original intercooler), I may put the scoop back on (in a modified state) we will see, I might start a poll when the time comes.
